| | | | Program Manager - Fixed Income / Repo and Collateral | Skills | Program / Project Management - Fixed Income / Repo and Collateral Processes | | Date | 10-11-2010 | | Location | Chicago, IL 312 | | Terms | CON_CORP, CON_IND, CON_W2 | | Rate | market 12+ months | | Job Description: | The chosen consultant will facilitate the development and ensure completion of the business program through the coordination of tasks, issues and risks through the System Architect and the Project Managers on the program. He/She measures and monitors progress to ensure that the business capability is delivered on time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
Experience is necessary, both in the problem domain (through a thorough understanding of business requirements) and the software engineering domain.
The consultant will be managing a multi-year project to create a single operating platform for processing both US and non US Repo contracts and collateral. The application will utilize existing and newly developed interfaces to external depositories and Sub-Custodians (US / Global) and downstream applications.
The project is currently in the business requirements gathering stage. The consultant will be working very closely with the internal IT professionals and business representatives from the front office and back office.
Other responsibilities include client management relationship, leadership and management of the program typically delivering results through others, setting the technical and business direction for the group, effective allocation and use of resources through out releases, establishing team environment, hiring, and performance appraisals.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
Program / Project Management Experience with Fixed Income / Repo and Collateral Background
Candidate must have 10+ years of program or project management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills are required.
Candidate must be familiar with SDLC.
Business knowledge of Fixed Income: specifically Repo / Collateral products and processing.
